Government has injected $ 981 million for reconstruction in Jojutla

After the tragedy of the September 2017 earthquake that impacted the community of Jojutla, Morelos, the federal government has allocated about 981 million in the reconstruction of this municipality, mainly in housing actions.

This Tuesday, federal authorities and other organizations made a recount of the actions carried out in this region of the country, one of the most affected by the earthquake of 7.1 degrees on a scale of Richter.

According to the information provided by the authorities, these resources were applied by different strategies between 2019 and 2021. According to the count, more than 22,000 people currently benefit from works carried out by the municipality, in addition to 3,327 families were benefited in a way direct in work related to housing.

Regarding the part exercised by the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), This agency invested 107 million pesos for urban improvement works, such as the construction of the Tlatenchi House of Culture; the La Perseverancia Cultural Center; the Child Care and Development Center (CADI) of the National Council for Educational Development (Conafe) in Santa María Tlatenchi, and the renovation of the Ojitos de Agua Ecological Park.

Also, through the National Housing Commission (Conavi) More than 180 million pesos were allocated to the benefit of 3,265 families for the improvement, expansion or replacement of the home, through the Social Housing Program and the Emerging Housing Program. Also, through the National Reconstruction Program 483 million pesos were invested in housing, health, culture and education actions.

Another of the actors in this work has been the Infonavit, which has allocated about 211 million pesos for the construction of urban facilities, as well as the construction of 62 homes for the benefit of the same number of affected families who lost a house of their property and who verified that they had legitimate possession of land. where the new property could be built.
