This is also the case of Samuel who agreed to tell his journey in the last hours at TVA Nouvelles.

“We made a human chain of individuals in front of the police and it was peaceful, there was no violence. Every time they advanced, we retreated. I was on Wellington Street and after a while we got to a small street and instead of pushing us, they pulled me straight out and handcuffed me,” he said.

After being arrested at 2 p.m., Samuel was released around 6:30 p.m.

“The longest thing is waiting in line, they are really not well organized. Afterwards, he puts you in the truck and asks you questions and searches you to check that there is nothing on you, ”says the protester.

After all this process, the police decided to release him without charge. He simply must not return to manifestation.

According to him, 99% of the people who are at the demonstration are here for the right reasons and are not causing violence.

“I’ve been here for three weeks, cleaning the streets, salting the police, feeding homeless people, feeding truckers… It’s not extremist or violent,” he says.
