As part of International Dance Day, the Maison pour la danse team presents a rich program of activities offered free of charge to the public: impro-dance, dance classes, solos and round table, presentation of short films and many others! A great opportunity to discover behind the scenes of this eclectic universe.

Presented online last year, the second edition of Home made takes place face-to-face this time, on the 29th, 30th april and 1st May at 336, rue du Roi in Quebec.

The composer and jazz pianist Yves Léveillé will present in Quebec City this weekend, most of his new album The time scale. The opus was released last week on the Effendi Records label. The musician has surrounded himself with a string quintet for the recording which will also accompany him on stage during the show.

L’Arquemuse concert hall, at 151-A, rue Saint-François Est, on Sunday 1st may at 15 h.


Jean-François Blanchet’s choice: Melancholitis

Master of the absurd and seasoned globetrotter, Bruno Blanchet is back on the small screen with a web series that celebrates the beginnings of his career on Quebec television. When his accomplice at the time, Guy Jodoin, called him to tell him that he was suffering from melancholyBruno sets off on the roads of Quebec to collect testimonies of love for his friend.

However, one of Bruno’s enemies, Anne-Marie Losique (the real one), is determined to derail his plans. If you are not familiar with Blanchet’s universe, you will certainly be confused. But if you follow him from The studio at Canal Famille and The end of the world is at seven o’clock to TQSyou will be delighted to see its many characters interact in crazy situations.

Also expect many cameos, from Marc Labrèche to Christian Bégin via Guylaine Tremblay.

An exhibition dedicated to the fascinating work of the multidisciplinary artist François Morelli is in progress at La Galerie 3, until May 29.

A major figure in visual and performance art in Quebec, François Morelli presents works that have marked his journey of more than 45 years of creation. The exhibition brings together some thirty works related to the artist’s various practices: drawing, painting, sculpture and photography, not to mention performance.

The line, omnipresent in the works of François Morelli, is expressed with fluidity and eloquence in this abundant exhibition. To discover.

The choice of Guillaume Piedboeuf: the return of the pee-wee tournament

Some 798 days after the last pee-wee hockey game played at the Videotron Centre, the International Pee-wee Hockey Tournament is back. Teams from 13 countries, including Romania and Japan, will set foot on the Quebec ice from May 1 to 15.

Daily tickets are on sale for 8 $ for adults and 2 $ for 14 years and under.
