France will “strengthen” the shipment of military material and humanitarian aid to Ukraineannounced the Elysee this Saturday after a conversation between the re-elected president Emmanuel Macron and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

While the Ukrainian president thanked him for “the large-scale shipments of military material that contribute to the Ukrainian resistance”, the French head of state “indicated that this support will be strengthened, as will the humanitarian aid provided by France”, according to a release.

“The mission of the French experts who contribute to the collection of evidence to fight against impunity and allow the work of international justice in relation to the crimes committed in the context of Russian aggression will continue,” he added.

Both the United States, France, the Czech Republic and other allies provided Ukraine with long-range weapons to help it face Moscow’s offensive in donbasin the east of the territory.

As reported by the Elysee on Saturday, French humanitarian aid to Ukraine currently represents “more than 615 tons of transported material, including medical equipment, generators for hospitals, food aid, accommodation aid and emergency vehicles.”

Macron he insisted on “his willingness to work actively during his second term to restore Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, always maintaining close coordination with its European partners and allies.”

The French leader also spoke of “France’s readiness to contribute to an agreement that offers security guarantees to Ukraine“.
