MM. Castex and Legault also announced “the forthcoming signing of a cooperation agreement between Investissement Québec International and Business France, which will allow the exchange of best practices in supporting companies in foreign markets in addition to boosting commercial relations. and investment flows between the two territories”.

The last edition of the “Alternate Meetings of Prime Ministers”, established in 1977, was held in 2018 in Paris, when Édouard Philippe was the resident of Matignon.

Mr. Legault went to Paris in January 2019, then pleading with Emmanuel Macron to double trade between the Belle Province and France. But this desire came up against the Covid crisis and trade peaked in 2020 at 4.7 billion Canadian dollars (3.1 billion euros).
