Foul Play Suspected After Human Remains Found At Ottawa Recycling Facility – Ottawa | The Canadian News

Investigators with the Ottawa Police Homicide Unit continue to investigate the discovery of human remains at a Sheffield Road recycling facility late last week, but said Monday night that they no longer consider the death to be ” criminally suspicious “.

Police said Friday they were called to the 2800 block of Sheffield Road shortly after noon after the remains were discovered.

The deceased was identified as James Macauley Teasdale, 58, and his death was initially considered suspicious.

While PAHO’s homicide unit is still leading the investigation, police said the autopsy concluded that the victim’s death was not suspected of a crime.

“At this time, no foul play is suspected,” police said in a brief statement Monday.
