Fog, cold mark late January in London, Ont. – London | The Canadian News

It’s a foggy day in London to end the month in southwestern Ontario city, with very cold temperatures continuing until Monday afternoon.

Neighborhood Canada has issued a misadviction for London and Middlesex County, as well as areas in the south and north, specifically warning against “freezing fog.”

There are no widespread bus cancellations or delays reported by the London District Catholic School Board or Thames Valley District School Board, but parents and guardians can visit Southwestern Ontario Student Transport Services Website to look for delays or cancellations due to either the weather or due to staff shortages.

The advice states that mist can cause almost zero visibility and that “untreated surfaces can become icy and slippery.”

The temperature is expected to rise above -10 C only after 11:00 on Monday.
