Five arrests in an anti-drug strike in Chambly

Two men and three women were arrested on Wednesday for their involvement in a drug trafficking organization in Chambly, Montérégie.

The raid by the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu-Saint-Laurent, in collaboration with the Sûreté du Québec and the Longueuil agglomeration police service, follows searches carried out in Chambly, Mont-Saint-Grégoire and on Valentine’s Day.

In addition to the arrest of the five suspects aged between 34 and 40, the police force operation resulted in the seizure of five vehicles, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine and money.

The Richelieu-Saint-Laurent Intermunicipal Police Board does not specify the quantity and value of the drugs seized, but promises to give the total later, according to Captain Christian Cameron.
