Expo México Minero Chihuahua 2022 brings together almost 16,000 attendees


With the attendance of 15,610 people, the Expo México Minero Chihuahua 2022 edition, organized by Mexicominero.org, closed its doors, where attendees learned about the importance of the mining industry in the development of Mexico and its usefulness in daily life.

For four days, from April 28 to May 1, people experienced recreational activities related to mining, such as a museum exhibition with some of the main minerals that are explored and extracted in Mexican territory.

The attendees also used virtual reality applications where they could live an immersive experience in an underground mine and an open pit, as well as in a metallurgical copper processing plant.

The little ones learned more about mining in the ExpresArte section, where they put together a giant puzzle and illuminated a mural and ballots alluding to this economic activity that in Mexico generates almost three million direct and indirect jobs.

They also learned about the minerals that are used in objects that are used in daily life, as well as models on the use of renewable energies and the responsible use and efficiency of water.

Playful expressions in which 22 students from the Mining Engineering and Geology courses at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua explained and involved the visitors in the world of mining. Families also received trees planted in nurseries from a mining unit that operates in this state.

Expo México Minero Chihuahua 2022 was framed with the exhibition of equipment and machinery used in modern mining, which guarantees more efficient and safe operations.
