Nicolas Drouin recounted the great difficulties encountered by the fifty workers of the Bois Ouvré de Beauceville.

“We are also in mourning, but it is nothing compared to what families are going through. It’s still three employees … We manage human beings, three human beings that we rub shoulders with, ”explains Nicolas Drouin in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.

He admits that the days following the tragedy were very difficult.

“The specter of insecurity with the employees was very broad,” he explains.

While some employees felt the need to get back to work quickly, others were very upset.

“Some employees came to us and were shaking, saying ‘Can you talk to you?’ I have employees who thought they had to do with this for X reasons. It was just to comfort these people, to make them feel good. ”

The owner of Bois Ouvré explains that he has also offered employees who wish to work in other facilities in the region.

“That they take the time it takes”, however assured the owner.

The Bois Ouvré Beauceville factory employs around fifty workers, three of whom died after the explosion last Monday. Another worker is still in critical condition.

The facilities where the tragedy occurred are still closed.
