While the convoy was originally scheduled to meet in London at 08:00, the organizers announced an updated time of arrival on Wednesday afternoon.

There is no word on how large the crowd will be in London, but provincial police will be on hand to monitor the protest.

“What we want is for the protesters to be safe, we want people who can gather to watch the convoy to pass through and we want those who are on the road with the protesters as motorists to be safe as well. must be safe, “Derek said. Rogers, the Regional Media Relations Coordinator for Western Region OPP.

“We will have a significant number of officers in the area to maintain an orderly flow and to ensure everyone stays safe.”

Rogers says drivers should expect delays on Highway 401 when the convoy arrives, as well as on any roads that converge on the 401.

In addition to the potential for heavy traffic, drivers should also be aware of the weather. However, according to Environment Canada, only a few storms are forecast to arrive on Thursday morning.

Rogers added that police were in contact with organizers before tomorrow’s protest, as was standard protocol with any protests taking place in OPP jurisdiction.

“Those officers are part of our OPP provincial liaison team, it’s their role to maintain that flow of contact and that flow of communication to ensure everyone gets safely where they are headed,” Rogers said.
