Environment Canada Warns of Strong Winds Over Much of Southern Ontario Wednesday | The Canadian News

Environment Canada warns of strong winds across much of southern Ontario on Wednesday.

The weather agency has issued a special weather statement for much of the region, as well as wind warnings for some locations.

Areas under the special meteorological declaration can expect gusts of 70 to 80 km / h, while those under a warning can expect gusts of up to 90 km / h.

“Southwest winds will pick up before a cold front moves across southern Ontario on Wednesday, intensifying during the afternoon and peaking at night,” said Ross Hull, climate specialist at Global News.
