Environment Canada has issued rain advisories for all of Nova Scotia this weekend.

In a statement Saturday, he said the rain would start in the early afternoon and last until Sunday.

The weather agency had previously said that Nova Scotians can expect 20-30 millimeters of rain, but now that has changed to 25-45 millimeters.

“Another system is ready to approach Nova Scotia today, bringing rain, wind and mild temperatures,” he said.

“Given the recent snowfall, the rain combined with the rapid melting of snow could cause localized flooding, especially in areas where snow banks block or inhibit storm drainage.”

He also said strong southwest winds with gusts of up to 80 km / h or more are expected across much of the province on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
