Edmonton city police are turning to the public for help locating a 13-year-old girl who was last seen on Friday morning.

Lila Smith was last seen around 8:30 am on Friday near 131 Avenue and 91 Street. She was reported missing by her family, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said.

Police describe Smith as a caucasian girl about five-foot-10 with a slim build, weighing around 100 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a hoodie with a white and blue body, one green arm and one purple arm, with a checkered pocket on the front. She was also wearing ripped blue jeans, black Converse shoes and carrying a backpack, police said.

Smith’s disappearance is considered out of character, causing police and her family to be concerned for her wellbeing.
