EPS said, in a Friday release, that they have partnered with the City of Edmonton to come up with a plan to maintain public safety and order for all citizens ahead of the Edmonton Oilers postseason.

People can expect to see an increased police presence around Rogers Place and the Ice District before, during and after the games and associated events. Jasper Avenue and Whyte Avenue will also see an increase in patrols.

Any necessary traffic advisories will be issued on the day of the game.

The Edmonton Oilers face the Los Angeles Kings in the first round of the playoffs. The series kicks off in Edmonton on Monday.
