On October 28, at approximately 7:10 a.m., Edmonton police were contacted about a missing man. As part of their investigation, the agents went to a house in the sector of Avenida 113 and Calle 91 where they found the body of Edgardo Vista, 57.

An autopsy was completed on Saturday and it was determined that Vista died of blunt force trauma and that her manner of death is a homicide.

On Monday, police charged Geraldo Munroe, 25, with second-degree murder.

Investigations have confirmed that the two men knew each other.

Vista’s death is the 33rd confirmed homicide in Edmonton so far this year.
