Brittany Lewchuk, a spokeswoman for Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, said firefighters received a call to the four-story building at 106 Avenue and 86 Street shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Crews found a vehicle completely involved in the fire and paramedics transported one person to the hospital, although the Edmonton fire had no details on his condition. An emergency support response team was called in to assist displaced residents.

The fire was under control at 2:50 a.m. and declared out at 6:06 a.m. Lewchuk said investigators returned to the scene Saturday.
