Exciting
Not more than 3 years ago this model left the market after a long stay in which it was recognized as an advantageous family member. Today it is back as a product adapted to the image and values of Dodge. It belongs to the Chinese group GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group), which in 2019 sold more than 2 million units in China; has cooperation agreements with different brands and groups including Stellantis.
Journey was subjected to a deep “naturalization” work to show the distinctive elements of the brand, among which its sporty character stands out. Among them are the glossy black finish on the grille itself that extends part of the fascia.
The headlights are Full Led, the front shows a very attractive aerodynamic design work especially for the shapes and the air inlets, on the sides the 18 ”wheels stand out for the SXT and Sport versions while the top of the range, GT, is 19 ”. Other elements are the bars on the roof as well as the moldings around the windows, which in both cases are chrome.
At the rear, the top-mounted rear spoiler stands out, which, like the skulls, uses LED lighting. The brand emphasizes that in the rear the main element of identity is in the Racetrack light made up of 190 LEDs.
Strong as familiar
The passenger compartment shows a good level of finishes in which rigid plastics are present but without any noticeable deficiencies in the assembly such as the differences between the assemblies. For the first two versions the instrument panel is 7 “while in the GT level it is 12.3”. In the same way there are the sunroof and the panoramic roof with sunroof, the latter is exclusive to GT. All versions have Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charger, cruise control, PM 2.5 particle filter, dual zone air conditioning, second row with 60:40 backrest as well as reclining seatbacks.
In terms of space and comfort, the front seats have 10-way power adjustment for Sport and GT levels, as well as heating and ventilation. It has two USB ports in the front and one in the second row.
Turbo
