DIF Sinaloa begins conference on breast reconstruction surgeries and cleft lip and palate


Culiacán, Sinaloa March 29, 2022.- The DIF Sinaloa System manages to recover smiles in women who have won breast cancer and people with cleft lip and palate, through its reconstructive surgery program.

The president of the DIF Sinaloa System, Dr. Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, thanked the staff of the Culiacán Civil Hospital, the Sharp Hospital, the Operation Smile Foundation and the Mexican consortium of hospitals, for the care provided to the patients who were part of this important program. , as well as the plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons who made it possible to transform the lives of women who won the battle against cancer and change the smiles of children and adults with cleft lip and palate.

Rocha Ruiz stated that, due to the large number of women, children and adults who signed up to be part of this campaign, it will continue.

This program was carried out with the coordination between the DIF Sinaloa System, the Civil Hospital of Culiacán and the Mexican Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, who were in charge of the surgeries for women who went through the process of breast cancer, while in the Hospital Sharp and the Operation Smile Foundation were performing cleft lip and palate surgeries in the port of Mazatlan.
