Deputy resigns from PAN after 24 years of militancy

The federal deputy Alejandra Garcia Morlan submitted his resignation to the National Action Party (PAN), where he was active for 24 years

In a letter addressed to the national leader of the blue and white, Marko Cortes Mendoza, the federal legislator expressed that within National Action “a solid leadership is urgently needed, that despite seeing the inhospitable terrain and adverse conditions, it has the necessary time and a well-placed heart so that, away from personal appetites, inject I encourage their militancy, a leadership that is close and sensitive to the people. “

And he added: “It is with deep sadness that today I no longer find that leadership that National Action requires and consequently I no longer feel represented by those who today lead or claim to be in charge of the party. For this reason and after a deep reflection, in congruence with my convictions and with the goal set in the construction of a truly democratic and just Mexico, I have made the decision to present my resignation as a member of the National Action Party. “

The legislator did not clarify whether she will join another bench in the Chamber of DeputiesHowever, he expressed his infinite gratitude to the institution that for almost 24 years was the depository of his dream and convictions.

However, he warned that Mexico is going through difficult times, where today more than ever a strong, courageous and consistent opposition is required.

“An opposition that generates confidence, that excites, that radiates hope and does not bow to the authoritarianism that today seems to be driving our Mexico out,” he said.
