Depraved undertaker invited a man to the morgue to have sex with the corpse

A depraved undertaker referred to the corpses as “fit” and invited another man to the morgue to have sex with a corpse. Preston Crown Court heard that Nigel Robinson-Wright, 42, posed for photos next to open coffins and naked corpses and offered to supply a man with crystal methamphetamine to facilitate sexual activity in the rest chapel.

Prosecutor Kim Whittlestone told the court that Robinson-Wright chatted with pedophiles, animal abusers and people interested in dead bodies using military-grade encrypted chat rooms. She goaded a man while he was sexually abusing a puppy and arranged a date with a pedophile who was offering a young boy to be raped.

But police lifted the lid on Robinson-Wright’s sinister sexual world following the arrest of a pedophile in London in September 2021. Online chats between the two men led them to the funeral director and on November 1, 2021, officers visited Robinson-Wright at his home. house in Chain Lane, Blackpool, Lancs Live Reports.

Ms Whittlestone told the court that a number of digital devices were seized and some were examined at the scene. She said: “She was in possession of indecent images and there was evidence that she distributed images. Extreme pornography, involving torture and sexual abuse of children and animals, was discovered.”

“The accused had been in contact with other people through social networks and had been organizing the commission of sexual crimes against children, dogs and corpses.”

A man, who seemed familiar to Robinson-Wright, shared sexual fantasies about customers at the Preston funeral home where Robinson-Wright worked. “There was a strong theme of necrophilia where it was openly discussed between the parties,” said Ms Whittlestone.

The men discussed the sexual activity at the funeral home, saying it was “hot when we fucked by the lectern.” Robinson-Wright spoke about being high on poppers and methamphetamine, and offered to supply the man with drugs.

In a separate chat, the defendant was in contact with a pedophile, agreeing to meet him to sexually abuse a child. However, police intercepted the chat before the plan came to fruition, the court heard. In other conversations he spoke of his fascination with Fred West and Jamie Bulger.

Robinson-Wright did not comment when interviewed by police, but later pleaded guilty to: arranging the commission of a child sex offense, three counts of making indecent images, eight counts of distributing indecent images, possession of a prohibited image of a child, possession of extreme pornography, two counts of intentionally encouraging or aiding a crime by inviting an unknown man to the morgue and encouraging a man to sexually abuse a dog, and attempting to supply a class A drug.

Tom Lord, defending, asked that 16 other crimes be considered and said that his client’s guilty plea was his best mitigation. He said: “The defendant’s guilty plea is a concession of what can only be described as licentious deviation and a grotesque breach of trust.”

Judge Graham Knowles QC, sentencing, said: “These taken together are heinous crimes. Nigel William Robinson-Wright, you have stripped away your own humanity and made the decision to relentlessly pursue cruelty, degradation and depravity.

“You gloried in that. Your targets were all powerless: babies, children, children, the dead, and animals.

“Part of what you did was look at pictures. Part of what you did was gloat over those pictures with other like-minded perverts. Instead of appreciating, protecting, and respecting children, the dead, animals, and others like the again, again and again you delighted in iniquity.”

When Robinson-Wright spoke with a probation officer, he described himself as an animal lover who cared for rescued cats and ferrets and called those who abused animals “vile.” He claimed that much of what was discussed was “fantasy”, but the judge rejected his claims.

It sentenced Robinson-Wright to 17 years in custody with an extended period of leave of eight years.
