Several people from four different vehicles were involved in a serious altercation in Surrey on Tuesday night, after an alleged theft by the occupants of one of the vehicles.

The incident happened at around 5 pm in the 13500-block of Hilton Road in the Whalley area, when the occupants of a red sedan were accused of theft.

According to a release by Surrey RCMP, the occupants of three other vehicles confronted those in the red sedan, resulting in collisions involving all four vehicles, the deployment of bear spray, and the alleged use of bats and golf clubs in an attack on one of the vehicles.

When police arrived, several people were suffering from the effects of bear spray, although no one was seriously injured in the incident.

All participants have been identified by police and charges are being considered. No one is currently in police custody.
