It is the Azimut group, which specializes among other things in criminal cases, which marks its presence in the Chomedey district, where the shots were fired.

Their objective is clear: to talk to citizens in order to reassure them about their safety.

“Our role is to keep people safe. Then when events like that happen, it worries us as much as people. [Donc] our role is simply to secure the population,” said the director of the Laval police department, Pierre Brochet, who was on site.

The shots were fired Monday afternoon on Dumouchel Avenue, in the Chomedey district, in Laval. No injuries were reported as the targeted person was a 15-year-old boy.
