Dancer Isaac Hernández launches Somus, a platform for social causes

After two years invested in the development of the Somus platform, the Mexican dancer Isaac Hernández, together with his brother, the technologist Joel Hernández and the director and investor Zvi Schreiber, announced the project that will facilitate the meeting of entertainment celebrities with their fans while raising funds for social causes.

The operation of the platform is simple. Personalities choose a social cause they want to support, create their Somus profile and share exclusive content and interact with their subscribers. At the end of each month, at least 50% of the profits from your subscriptions are equally distributed to non-profit organizations, working on the social cause.

The platform is backed by a team of experienced investors, entrepreneurs and celebrities, who through a strategic partnership with Kinder.World incorporates more than 60 of the world’s most effective charities. Among the Mexican organizations included are Red Nose, which fights against childhood cancer; Seed Fund, where they work for the rights, security and future of Mexican women; and Naturalia, which works to protect Mexican ecosystems.

“As public figures we have the power to reach millions of people digitally. Using that power to do good for others is something that I consider a duty before the society that gives us so much.” says Isaac Hernandez.

In association with a vast portfolio of celebrities (to be kept under wraps and to be announced gradually), Somus will continue to recruit regional and global public figures over the coming months. The goal is not just to provide a way for celebrities to generate steady income, but to do so in a meaningful and positive way by supporting organizations that change the world.

“Somus has the potential to raise millions of dollars for charities on a monthly basis,” the founding team shared. “As we continue to onboard celebrities, we hope to become a stable, significant and ever-growing source of funding for those who help others,” said Joel Hernandez.

Isaac Hernández, actor, dancer and Mexican cultural icon will be the first celebrity to launch a Somus profile, with which each organization could receive up to 100,000 pesos from Somus in the first 30 days of launch.

For only 99 pesos a month, users will be able to interact with their favorite celebrities like Isaac and support relevant causes at Somus.
