The European bus leader, Daimler Truckhopes to do without before 2030 its urban buses diesel, by proposing a 100% electric offer and then hydrogen intercity.
“There is a clear political position” in favor of electric common transport, explained Till Oberwörder, head of the German manufacturer’s bus activity, during a round table.
The group, which has sold some 600 electric buses out of a total of 18,700 units in 2021, he only wants, “at the latest in 2030”, rechargeable urban models in the old continent, “and not invest more” in the development of diesel enginesaccording to a statement

Daimler Truck it hopes to propose an electric intercity bus by 2025 and then, from 2030, a hydrogen version of a long-distance coach.
The group plans to triple this year the sales of electric models – buses and trucks – which in 2021 were about 700, three times more than in 2020, explained its president, Martin Daum.
