Daily poll: Is Vancouver’s 4/20 pro-cannabis event out of date?

On Oct. 17, 2018, Canada became the largest country in the world to legalize the recreational consumption of cannabis.

The move came after years of protest and calls for legalization, particularly in Vancouver — dubbed the “ground zero of pot activism in the world” — with an annual focus on a 4/20 event.

It was big business back then, and its bigger business now, with legal pot shops around the city, delivery service, online service and more paraphernalia options than you can poke a stick at.

On Wednesday, thousands again gathered outside the Vancouver Art Gallery for the traditional April 20 gathering.

But with pot now legal in Canada, is the 4/20 event passed?
