Cyclist killed in Abbotsford traffic collision


Emergency services responded to find a critically injured cyclist, who was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased. Police are working to identify the victim.

A cyclist was killed after a collision in the 2500 block of McCallum Rd. in Abbotsford Friday afternoon.

Emergency services responded to find a critically injured cyclist, who was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased. Police are working to identify the victim.

Abbotsford police said in a statement the driver of the involved vehicle — who was not injured — remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Both directions of McCallum Road were closed for the investigation.

Investigators seek witnesses and dashcam footage from those who may have been traveling along McCallum Road just before the collision at about 3:30 pm to contact Abbotsford police at 604-859-5225.
