Cybersecurity, key in the transformation of digital businesses

Faced with the risks involved in new ways of conducting business, the protection of information is essential in electronic commerce, and with it, the cybersecurity is placed as a priority point in the digital transformation of the productive sector.

After having faced three waves of contagion by Covid-19, consumption habits and the panorama of business models, as well as the prevention of the risks that this new digital scenario entails have changed, and it is essential that the business sector prepares itself, recognized the president of the Mexican Academy of Cybersecurity and Digital Law (AMCID), Ernesto Ibarra.

For this, the Center for Innovation in Intelligence and Security and the UDLAP Jenkins Graduate School will launch the fifth edition of the Congress of Cybersecurity and Intelligence that seeks to generate convergence between various business and electronic commerce sectors to face these challenges.

Digital transformation and intelligence for the industry, he said, have made it clear that cybersecurity is a cross-cutting element that is present in any productive sector, not only in the digital business environment.

Even companies of varied lines of business are incorporating technology and generating data in their production processes and in their value chain, which implies the protection of information so that their business achieves the objectives that are set.

“In the context of the pandemic, many of the business activities were digitized and detonated at an exponential level, due to the increase in technologies and the time we spend being connected to the Internet. These new digital environments, fundamental for the national economic reactivation, have become part of our daily lives and of the companies that seek their growth or consolidation ”, he explained

Ibarra points out that the 2021 Cybersecurity and Intelligence congress will be held on October 28 and 29 and will have a varied participation of experts from different disciplines, sectors and various levels of experience who will comprehensively present the prevention of risk; and above all a reflection on digital and disruptive businesses and their impact on the economic process of the country and of micro and small companies.
