Cruz Azul says goodbye to Peruvian Juan Reynoso

The club Blue Cross the Peruvian cycle ended on Thursday John Reynoso as technical director, a year after achieving the coveted ninth title.

The dismissal of the Peruvian strategist occurs four days after the team was eliminated by Tigers UANL in the quarterfinals of the tournament Shout Mexico C22.

“Cruz Azul terminates the sports cycle of Mr. Juan Reynoso. As of today, Juan Reynoso is no longer the technical director of our first team,” the club said in a statement.

“The institution thanks him for the successes achieved during his management. The Ninth will undoubtedly be one of the greatest chapters in the history of this club,” he added.

In May 2021, Reynoso achieved the ninth title for the club in the tournament Guardians Closing after more than two decades.

And he went down in the history of the club by becoming the first technical director of Blue Cross who wins a championship as a player and as a strategist. The Peruvian was captain of the team that won the eighth title in the Winter 1997 tournament.

Reynoso, who was appointed technical director of Cruz Azul’s “Celestial Machine” in January 2021, replacing Uruguayan Robert Dante Siboldi, recorded 35 wins, 19 draws and 19 losses.
