The case count only includes people who received PCR tests at government screening clinics. It does not accurately reflect the number of cases since it does not include the results of rapid home tests.

The number of people in the hospital dropped to 2,411, the lowest since early January. Of those recently admitted, 26 percent were not vaccinated.

Four fewer people were in intensive care compared to yesterday, for a total of 177 patients, which is the lowest level in more than a month.

On Saturday, some 21,460 people received their third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Forty-seven percent of Quebecers over the age of five have already received their booster shot.

In addition, 938 children between the ages of five and 11 received their first dose of the vaccine.

Beginning February 7, theaters, cinemas, and shows will be allowed to reopen at 50% capacity indoors (for a maximum of 500 people) or up to 1,000 people outdoors. Proof of vaccination is required to attend.

Additionally, places of worship can reopen starting Monday with up to 50 percent capacity or 250 people, whichever is lower. Passport verification of vaccinations is mandatory, except for funerals, where the maximum will be 50 people.
