Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Kieran Moore, responded to questions about Quebec’s new health tax for unvaccinated people, saying it “seems punitive.” He said that only in the highest-risk settings has Ontario required the vaccines and that “imposing a penalty on those who have not been vaccinated has not been considered.”
