Covid-19 in Mexico: Ministry of Health reports 392 new deaths

The Ministry of Health reported that the number of deaths from Covid-19 It amounted to 286,888, after 392 new deaths were reported this Tuesday.

In its daily technical report, the federal agency estimates that in the country there are 27,618 active cases estimated in Mexico, that is, people who have presented symptoms of the disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in the last 14 days.

Meanwhile, it estimates that 3 million 153,067 people have recovered after suffering from the new coronavirus.

Regarding the hospital capacity to care for patients with Covid-19 in the country, the occupation of general beds stands at 21%, one percentage point less than that reported yesterday. Meanwhile, the occupancy of beds with a ventilator for critically ill patients is 19%, unchanged from the last report.

Vaccination against Covid-19 in Mexico

The federal government highlighted this Tuesday that 79% of the population over 18 years of age has been vaccinated against Covid-19 with at least one dose.

At the cutoff on Monday, October 25, the Ministry of Health provided 779,442 vaccines against coronavirus to reach a total of 117 million 240,849 doses applied nationwide since the vaccination plan began in December 2020.

During the morning conference at the National Palace, the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, affirmed that Mexico City and Baja California are the entities throughout the country that have made the best progress in the application of vaccines with second doses.
