COVID-19: City Prepares for ‘Toronto Childhood Vaccination Day’ at Scotiabank Arena – Toronto | The Canadian News

The city will start “Child Vaccination Day in Toronto”On Sunday, a massive one-day COVID-19 vaccination event at the Scotiabank Arena. Depending on the city, there is still time to book an appointment.

Appointments are still available for children ages five to 11 through the reservation system of the provincesays a statement issued by the city. The clinic will also allow walk-in vaccinations, starting Sunday afternoon.

The event is scheduled to operate from 10 a.m. M. At 6 p. M. Y will allow walk-ins from 1 pm. M. At 6 p. M.

The event will include a superhero theme, lots of giveaways, and guest appearances from Paw Patrol members.

“Thanks to the generous partners, there will be Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors t-shirt and ticket giveaways throughout the day. Other gifts will include gift cards for groceries and stickers, activity sheets and toys from the Paw Patrol, ”the statement read.

Support dogs will also be on site for children and their families.

“All aspects of Toronto Children’s Vaccine Day are aimed at making youth and caregivers feel safe and relaxed while receiving the COVID-19 vaccine,” the statement read.

According to Team Toronto, more than 300 people, many of them children living in priority neighborhoods, will be transported from across the city to the stadium to receive their vaccine.

The Toronto sign will be illuminated in pink to commemorate the event.
