The coronavirus has rebounded in Catalonia and already notices the effects of Holy Week and the end of indoor masks. The reproduction speed of the virus has passed the point and is in 1.21 points: such a high figure was not given since after the Christmas holidays, on January 12. The risk of regrowth has also risen and is at 274. Infections have also risen: almost 1,500 a day last week.
The 14-day cumulative incidence amounts to from 225 to 274 and the 7-day from 99.44 to 129.55. Salut now communicates the data twice a week and concentrates diagnostic tests on the most vulnerable people or seriously ill patients.
The situation of the hospitals, however, continues to improve: the hospital ucis has 32 patients, the lowest number since the epidemic began along with that of Monday (31). According to data updated this Tuesday by Salut, today there are 954 people hospitalized for covid.
The number of deaths from covid in the entire epidemic amounts to 27,107, fifteen of them reported in the last four days, of which 41 have died in the last seven days, with almost six deaths a day from the virus.
