Coparmex Jalisco will exceed expectation of formal jobs at the end of the year

At the beginning of the year, the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) established the goal of generating 40,000 jobs throughout 2021; However, at the end of July it adjusted the expectation upwards and set it at 64,480 jobs and as the closure approaches, the employers’ union continues to grow the figure.

We could be closing about 70,000 jobs this year; It is a good figure. Let us remember that at the beginning of the year, the first estimate we had made was 40,000 jobs this year ”, affirmed the president of the local Coparmex, Carlos Villaseñor Franco.

“We have been adjusting, this is the second adjustment that is made and we would be considering in the next few days, finishing our studies, but we could walk around 70,000 jobs and, above all, for the year 2022 the Jalisco business community is much more confident than in 2021 “, added the employer leader.

According to data from Social SecurityFrom January to September of this year, the entity created 67,364 formal jobs and, according to Villaseñor Franco, the entity’s business sector shows confidence, even above the national average, in continuing to generate jobs.

According to the Coparmex leader, based on the study of Economic Expectations of the Jalisco Private Sector, for the second semester of this year 64% of businessmen say they have confidence in the state, while 52% have the same opinion at the level national.

The Business Expectations Index (IEE) from the same study, shows an improvement in the second half of 2021 compared to the previous half. The percentage of companies that indicate that the number of jobs will increase, went from 18% to 30.4% in the same period.

On the other hand, the companies specified that sales will increase from 39.5% to 55.9%. Similarly, the percentage of companies that consider that they will improve profits went from 27.2% to 40.6 percent.
