Concretos Asfálticos Tecámac wins a contract for 404 million pesos at the AICM

The Mexico City International Airport (AICM) awarded the Mexican construction company Concretos Asfálticos Tecámac a contract of 403.8 million pesos to carry out the rehabilitation of runway 05L-23R for 308 calendar days. The works should begin on November 15.

The winning bid was the third lowest of the eight that were presented last week (the lowest was from Grupo Constructor Pirámide (GCP) and Asfaltos y Pavimentos Airport, 368.2 million pesos, and the highest from ICA, 510.5 million pesos) .

The firms that did not comply

According to the ruling, published on Thursday afternoon, the economic proposals of Coconal (455.5 million pesos), Epccor Asfaltos Desarrollos y Construcciones del Bajío (463.1 million pesos) and ICA were rejected from the first evaluation stage. because they exceeded the authorized budget for the work.

In the technical evaluation, four more companies were left out of the public works tender: Grupo Constructor Pirámide (GCP) and Asfaltos y Pavimentos Aeroportuarios, 368.2 million pesos, Ascender Constructores and Proyekta Constructora, 400.1 million pesos, Prodemex (which has previously carried out maintenance work on the runways of the main air terminal in the country) and Desarrolladora de Terracerías, 412.7 million pesos, and Technical Engineering in Roads and Basaltic Crushed Tepetlaoxtoc (421.8 million pesos).

As part of its conclusion of the tender, the AICM explained: the proposal presented by the bidder Concretos Asfálticos Tecámac, of Mexican nationality, obtained 39.50 points in the evaluation of its technical proposal, enough to consider it solvent, so the economic evaluation, obtaining a score of 50.00 points, gathering 89.50 points “complying with the legal, technical, economic, financial and administrative conditions required by the entity.”
