Concamin asks to postpone implementation of Carta Porte

Cancun, Q. Roo. The implementation of the document of the Digital Portfolio Letter that eliminates the right to credit 100% of the VAT tax, already paid to service providers in Mexico, will put the international freight transport sector in check, and will negatively impact competitiveness of Mexico with its main commercial partner, the United States, affirmed the president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), José Abugaber.

Even when various organizations in the transportation and foreign trade sector have already established communication with Raquel Buenrostro, head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT), the official did not want to give in to an extension in the period of implementation of the Porte Card that enters into in force, with sanctions, on January 1, 2022.

“We are not against the Carta Porte … there is no time for companies to adjust to the new requirements set by the SAT authority,” said the industrial leader.
