The National Water Commission (Conagua) awarded a contract of 10.7 million pesos, by direct award, to the company Coordination of Project Engineers to carry out the management of some projects related to the Lago de Texcoco Ecological Park (PELT) that will be developed next year.
Among the activities that will be under his responsibility are: graphic identity and signage project for public spaces, executive project for the rehabilitation of existing roads, executive project for the remodeling of the campground area and structural support and advice for the correct execution of the works equipping the Zona Norte park phase 1.
The term of the contract related to the polygon where the Texcoco airport was being built is from October 23 to December 31 of this year.
Prior to said assignment, Conagua held a tender for the same services, under the form of an invitation, in which the ruling was declared void because the four proposals did not meet the requirements on September 23. In said contest, Coordination of Project Engineers made the same financial offer.
“The works related to the Lago de Texcoco Ecological Park (PELT) will be developed in the eastern region of the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
It is estimated that the works will have a general influence within a radius of more than 12 km, and a direct influence on the municipalities of: Ecatepec de Morelos, Acolman, Atenco, Texcoco, Chimalhuacán, Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, as well as the Mayor’s Offices: Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Madero from Mexico City ”, detailed the agency.
Regarding signage, it was specified to the contractor firm that it must develop the information and signaling system that will have to be applicable to all public areas of the PELT, considering the applicable needs for buildings, public spaces and roads.
In addition, it will have to take charge of the analysis of the park’s mobility strategy, the program of activities and the study of the number of visitors provided by the commission and, based on this, develop an executive project for the rehabilitation, adaptation and improvement of the existing roads to guarantee the optimal public functioning of the fenced polygon.
Among the conditions of the contract it was specified at the time that the chosen firm will not receive any advance for the work to be carried out.
