“I really feel the need to take time alone, so I do it in different ways. When it’s nicer, in the summer, I try to go for a walk before the kids wake up, early in the morning, at 5:30 or 6 am. Sometimes, I am alone with my thoughts; other times, I put on music or a podcast or something,” she says.

If you can’t walk, you will take a “coffee time to stay” between dropping off daycare and getting to the office. Instead of taking your coffee to go, you enjoy it at the coffee shop. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes, this is a little ritual that she savors.

“These moments don’t have to be long, but they do have to be intentional. It gives me a burst of energy and I arrive at the office in the right frame of mind.” Taking a break from her personal Instagram and making sure she has time outdoors has helped her focus more, Samieian says.

Gratitude

Practicing gratitude may seem a little cliché, but there is some truth to it. Samieian says out loud that she is “lucky” to have child care and family support to juggle work and raising children. She is honest about the fact that she often feels like she has dropped the ball somewhere. It may be the time she spends alone with her children, work commitments, not getting enough exercise or not seeing friends.

Teak is a good material for outdoor use and you can remove the tray for transport or roll the cart on wheels.
