Hector Sanchez Moralespresident of the organization, explained that before the health contingency, 52,000 jobs had been generated, but currently they barely reach 42,000 positions.
However, the builders from Puebla They have been working more on private works, which represents 85% of the activity, and the rest on public projects.
He commented that the Economic recovery It is still complicated, which means working with the necessary personnel, according to the type of project, but giving it speed in order to finish quickly and be able to expedite payment.
He reiterated that this year the panorama for the construction sector will continue in its different branches, one of them housing development, where businessmen have had to make 10% increases in real estate costs.
Sánchez Morales indicated that the CMIC is calling the partners to have serenity during the year, in order to have participation in projects that are more profitable in the case of public works.
He said that the past two years brought serious consequences for builders at the national level, that in the case of Puebla they had to close 60 companies due to not having activity.
In this vein, he sees it as difficult for firms to reopen because they quickly decapitalized, which did not want to resort to loans when seeing low activity that did not help generate enough income either.
He considered that as long as there is no balance between public and private works, it will be difficult for the sector to recover, which had a good year planned, but they do not see a positive change despite the fact that there are tenders.
He indicated that the scenario is to wait until 2023, so that the authorities do more public workhaving the confidence that the pandemic will give respite.
