Class action by ex-Aveos workers against Air Canada: lawsuit begins October 4

 

A month-long trial will begin on October 4 at the Montreal courthouse during which several witnesses will be heard to determine whether Air Canada should compensate former Aveos workers for the many damages suffered following the company’s privatization.

Experts, 18 former workers and other former executives of Aveos and Air Canada will take the witness stand in this class action brought by Gilbert Mc Mullen against Air Canada.

On behalf of all former Aveos workers and their spouses, Mr. Mc Mullen demands compensation for all the economic and moral damages resulting from the closure of the aircraft overhaul centers that Air Canada was required to do. legal to maintain in Montreal, Mississauga and Winnipeg, from 2012 to 2016.

The applicant claims that thousands of individuals were illegally deprived of employment, so that they suffered major financial and psychological consequences.
