Officers responded to a firearm incident in the 1500 block of Marentette Avenue around 2 p.m.

A suspect had reportedly met with a whistleblower to collect “property,” police said in a press release on Wednesday. When the author was unable to present the property, the suspect pointed a firearm at the author and threatened him.

The suspect fled the area in a light-colored midsize van with a dark-tinted rear window.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 40 years old, approximately six feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. She wore dreadlocks and was wearing a matching tan tracksuit with a yellow print.

The complainant and the suspect reportedly knew each other. There were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.

Police are urging anyone with surveillance cameras in the 1500 block of Marenetette Avenue to review their footage for possible evidence.
