Chinese regulator suspends some China Eastern and XiamenAir flights from the US due to Covid-19

The aviation regulator of China will suspend two flights of China Eastern from New York to Shanghai as of January 3 due to Covid-19 casesthe Shanghai government reported Monday.

The regulator will also suspend two flights of XiamenAir from Los Angeles to Xiamen from the same date, the official news website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

A total of 10 passengers from the China Eastern and XiamenAir flights tested positive for Covid-19 upon arrival in China, prompting the CAAC to suspend two subsequent flights, according to the website.
