Children, Youth & Families, Strength for Today — Opportunities for Tomorrow is the name of the campaign and the graphics have already been affixed to the windows of the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society building at 1671 Riverside Dr. E.

Created by internationally recognized publisher and children’s book illustrator, Keith Negley, the graphic concept was born out of consultations held with WECAS staff, and youth that are supported by the society.

“It represents individuals supporting children, youth and families who may face obstacles to cross a path from a place of darkness to a new reality filled with light and hope for tomorrow,” WECAS wrote in a release.

“It also celebrates diversity and the individual and cultural differences that make all of us unique.”

The WECAF board of directors “encourages members of the community as they walk or drive down Riverside Drive to have a look at this meaningful and impactful piece of public art,” the release says. “Consider how you may be able to get involved.”
