Child pornography: he will undergo therapy at Percé prison

Aware of his problems with addiction to child pornography, an accused agreed to an 18-month prison sentence in order to be treated at the Percé prison specializing in therapy for sex offenders.

Cyberaddicted to pornography since adulthood, Étienne Leblanc spent a lot of time on erotic sites. The 29-year-old, however, veered into child pornography when content showing underage girls was sent to him.

In addition to accumulating 1,285 child pornography files, Étienne Leblanc redistributed the images on the internet, thus alerting an automatic child pornography detection system four times on the same day of January 1, 2019. The IP address was then sent to the Police department of the City of Quebec thus making it possible to arrest the man who lives in Sherbrooke.

Since his arrest, Étienne Leblanc has not sought to justify himself and has raised awareness. Aware of his problem, he accepted a prison sentence of 18 months. A sentence long enough to allow him to integrate the prison specialized in the treatment of sexual offenses of Percé.
