Charlene from Monaco shares a family drawing as a Christmas postcard

Although the Monegasque royal family has not yet shared their traditional Christmas card, the Princess Charlene has posted an illustrated family portrait on Instagram with her husband, the prince Albert of Monaco, and its Twins, Jacques and Gabriella, which on December 10th celebrated their seventh anniversary. Her children’s birthday was the first time Charlene had broken her silence since Swiss specialist clinic where you are recovering and dealing with “great fatigue” that afflicts her after her return to the Principality after a long stay of months in South Africa, where she had to be operated on several occasions for a severe ear, nose, and throat infection.

The illustration shows Charlene in a yellow dress posing with Alberto, in front of a Christmas tree. Next to them are Jacques, who is holding a silver bell, and Princess Gabriella, with a gold ornament.

“I wish you all a safe and beautiful holiday season, with all my love ❤,” wrote the 43-year-old princess.

The drawing is reminiscent of the official photo that served as a Christmas postcard in 2020.

Traditionally, the royals of Monaco have been distinguished by their glamorous christmas photos, where they usually wear their best suits and in elegant settings (although last year the 63-year-old Prince Albert showed his funnier side on Christmas Day, sporting a red outfit from head to toe, a Santa hat and some reindeer glasses).

Last month, Alberto said that his wife was receiving treatment outside Monaco after suffering from deep “exhaustion, both emotionally and physically.” Princess Charlene returned to Monaco in mid-November after being “grounded” in South Africa for six months for medical problems and several surgeries.

However, a few days later, a palace statement announced that the princess was experiencing “profound general fatigue” that would force her to withdraw from public activities, including the traditional Monaco National Day ceremonies.

After the institutional statement, Prince Albert explained to ‘People’ magazine that the princess was suffering from medical problems derived from complications from the multiple ear, nose and throat surgeries she had undergone. The couple, along with Charlene’s medical team and her family, agreed on a clinical rest period, Y that, “for privacy reasons, it would have to be somewhere outside of Monaco.”

Then Princess Charlene broke her silence on social media earlier this month to celebrate her children’s birthday. The photo showed a party countdown to midnight (a tradition in Monaco). The royal twins wore matching pajamas with a thousand sheet puff pastry cake in the shape of the number 7. “Thank you God for blessing me with such wonderful children. I am truly blessed. He loves you, ❤️,” wrote the princess.
