Cemex Announces End of Competition Investigation Against It in the United States

The Mexican cement company Cemex, one of the largest in the world, reported this Friday that the United States Department of Justice closed an investigation against it on a possible violation of competition laws related to the sale of gray portland cement and slag.

Cemex, with business in more than 50 countries, also reported that it will appeal to the Spanish authorities a fine of about 68 million euros derived from a tax audit of its operations between 2010 and 2014.
