Céline Dion cancels the rest of the North American dates of the Courage world tour | The Canadian News

Citing her ongoing health issues, Céline Dion has made the difficult decision to cancel the rest of her scheduled North American concerts on her Courage World Tour.

The Canadian singer had completed the first 52 shows of the tour before the COVID-19 pandemic began. In July 2021, he rescheduled the last half of the tour for dates in 2022.

During a break in touring, she had been treated for severe and persistent muscle spasms that prevented her from performing.

Dion’s recovery is taking longer than she expected, and her medical team continues to evaluate and treat the condition.

“I was really hoping I’d be good to go, but I guess I just have to be more patient and follow the regimen my doctors prescribe,” Dion said in a news release.

“There is a lot of organization and preparation in our shows, so we have to make decisions today that will affect the plans two months from now. I will be very happy to be completely healthy again, as well as that we all get through this pandemic, and I can’t wait to get back on stage.”

The rest of his tour included some Canadian stops: Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

According to a press release, tickets purchased by credit card through authorized ticket outlets will be automatically refunded to the credit card used for the purchase. Ticket holders of canceled performances will soon receive an email notification with more information.

“I have been very touched by all the words of encouragement that everyone has been sending me on social media. I feel your love and support and it means a lot to me.”
