CDMX generates 3 million 323,522 formal jobs during March


In March 2022, the Mexico City registered 3 million 323,522 workers affiliated with the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), which represented an increase of 3.4% compared to the same month of 2021, reported the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion of the city.

According to the capital office, these results indicate that the current plan for economic reactivation is working.

“In favor of economic reactivation, the Government of Mexico City is working on a plan that provides for the creation of 100,000 jobs to accelerate growth by boosting the family economy, as well as the construction, housing and tourism sectors,” he said.

Of the jobs generated in March of this year, 88.1% are permanent, while 11.9% belong to temporary contracts.

Meanwhile, he detailed the Secretariat of Labor and Employment Promotionsix economic sectors recorded an increase in job creation.

For example, it highlights services for companies, people and the home; commercial services; transformation industry; Extractive industries; electrical industry and collection and supply of drinking water; as well as agriculture, livestock, forestry, fishing and hunting.

Actions

The local unit recalled that the economic reactivation plan is divided into three axes, the first is support for the popular, social and solidarity economy; second, new instruments to support construction, housing and the economy in general; and third, actions to relaunch the tourism, cultural and Historic Center sectors.

Within these three categories, the Secretariat of Labor and Employment Promotion of the city participates in the axis of support for the popular, social and solidarity economy.

“Among the actions carried out are the reinforcement of Job Fairs, temporary work for 1,000 people with Green Employment, training and certification of skills, labor mobility in various states of the country and abroad, as well as the promotion of cooperatives” , he stressed.
