The Electoral Tribunal of Mexico City reversed the expulsion of Nallely Gutiérrez and the former governor of Oaxaca Ulises Ruiz Ortiz of Institutional Revolutionary Partyl (PRI), which was requested by the national president of this political institution, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas.

In September 2021, the Party Justice Commission of the PRI notified Nallely Gutiérrez Gijón and Ulises Ruiz Ortiz of the resolution adopted unanimously in which the expulsion of both from that party was determined, requested in July by Moreno Cárdenas.
The Commission argued that the expulsion of the PRI was due to the fact that “conducts in support of political forces and antagonistic candidates to the political institute were accredited; doing acts that were intended to provoke divisions in the party, proceeding with serious indiscipline and carrying out smear activities against of PRI leaders “.
It should be remembered that Nallely Gutiérrez and the former governor of Oaxaca led on June 29, 2021, the seizure of the PRI’s national headquarters, to demand the resignation of Alejandro Moreno.
